Sunday, 6^th September, 2020, will mark three years since our small, but beautiful islands and our people were struck by a catastrophic Category 5 Hurricane, Irma.

Greetings to everyone and thank you for joining us as I bring you another status report on the Territory’s COVID-19 situation and response.  In this update I will also provide an update on decisions taken at a Special Cabinet Meeting that was held on the 3^rd of September.

Greetings to residents of the Virgin Islands. A special acknowledgement is extended to persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, their families and caregivers.

Thank you for joining us this morning. I stand here with the Honourable Premier and Honourable Minister for Health to deliver an update on our COVID-19 response and for us to set out the next stage in our response.

The British Virgin Islands together with the region and the world has been grappling with this new strain of coronavirus.

My dear Virgin Islands people, a pleasant good day and God’s blessings to you and your families.  I know that the vast majority of you, as well as myself, are concerned about the growing number of COVID-19 cases as of late.

As the public is aware, in the past weeks a few clusters of COVID-19 cases have been identified in the British Virgin Islands.
