Good morning!

1. I recognize the protocol already established but I would like to recognize the presence of my Government members (list), Members of the Road Town Partnership Committee, and the members of the media. I welcome you all here today for what I will call a day of new beginnings for our beloved capital, Road Town.

On Sunday, 30 March 2025, an incident occurred at His Majesty’s Prison, Balsam Ghut, involving a prisoner with known mental health challenges who attacked a prison officer.

His Excellency, the Governor Mr. Daniel Pruce, chaired the meeting held on 11th December, 2024 at the Premier's Conference Room.

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed colleagues, and distinguished guests,

Today, we are witnessing a breakthrough—a pivotal moment in the evolution of medical education in the British Virgin Islands.

Today marks a significant milestone in the development of The Virgin Islands as we officially welcome Ponce Health Sciences University’s School of Medicine to our shores.
