When I was sworn in as Governor, I made a solemn oath to serve the people of the Virgin Islands. 

The safety of our citizens is paramount. Equally, the legal and regulatory stability of our jurisdiction is at the heart of its appeal as a leading international finance centre.

I welcome this next instalment of the review of law enforcement and criminal justice bodies in the Virgin Islands, conducted by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services.

The Government of the Virgin Islands has expressed concern about the recent tariffs imposed by the United States (US) on countries worldwide, including a 10% tariff on the Virgin Islands.
