Yesterday, you heard that in Cabinet we took further measures to secure our borders, safeguard our children and elderly, and some of the other ways the Virgin Islands Government is aggressively working to prevent the Coronavirus COVID-19 from reaching the Territory.

In January, 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of the new Coronavirus disease in Hubei Province, China to be a public health emergency of international concern.

Public Officers of the Virgin Islands, Many of you would be making final preparations within your departments and agencies to participate in the Caribe Wave exercise on March 19. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak around the world, we have decided that the exercise will no longer include an evacuation component.
