Procedures for testing water and wastewater

Process

Step 1: A Customer comes to the Dept., pays for the relevant test and receives a Water/Sewage sample Bottle.

Step 2: The Customer collects the sample.

Step 3: The sample is to be returned to the Department within 24 hours of collection for testing.

Step 4: The sample is forwarded to the Lab.

Step 5: The Lab Technician tests the water checking for contaminants to determine if it is potable or that the results are within standards.

Step 6: The Lab Technician creates a report based on the findings.

Step 7: Test results are ready to be picked up by the next business day.

Step 8: The report is left at the Front Desk for the Customer to come and collect.

All sewerage rates are 0.325% of assessed rentable value of the property as determined by the Inland Revenue Department of Government.
