Non-Belongers with property for sale application

Process

Step 1: Non-Belongers with property for sale should complete the fillable land for sale form and email it to the Ministry at nrl@gov.vg simultaneously with the advertisement with the print media and online.

 

Step 2: Customer, or representative, submits the application form along with supporting documents and payment of the application fee to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour.

Step 3:  A response is sent from the Ministry to the customer or representative, acknowledging receipt of the application. After the application is reviewed, a receipt is generated.

Step 4:  The application is submitted to Cabinet for a decision. 

Step 5: A further response will be sent to the customer or representative, granting Approval or Denial of the application.

Step 6: If approval is granted, the customer, or their representative, is invited to submit necessary documents for further processing to the Ministry which include the Draft Licences for vetting and Engrossed Licences for execution by the Governor.

Step 7: Upon completion of the executed documentation process, the Customer or their representative, is notified of the availability   of the documents for collection and the Licence fees required.

Step 8: The Customer, or their representative, makes payment of the Licence fees and a Government receipt is issued. The Licences are signed for and recorded within the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour.

Step 9: Licences are collected by the customer, or their representative, and submitted to the Land and Survey Department for registration with a fee of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per licence.

Step 10: The Instrument of Transfer document is executed between the vendor and purchaser.  The customer, or their representative, is to submit a copy of this document to the Inland Revenue Department for Stamp Duty Assessment.

Step 11: The Transfer Document is also to be submitted to the Land and Survey Department for registration at a rate of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50).

Step 12: Upon completion of the above processes, the Customer, or their representative, is required to provide the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour with copies of the Registered Licence(s) and Instrument of Transfer documents for their records.
