Noise Exemption Permission

Obtain permission to amplify sound under the Noise Control and Abatement Act to amplify music of any kind beyond the confines of personal space anywhere in the Territory. 

Process

Step 1:  A request letter with the details of the event and contact information should be addressed to the Commissioner of Police and hand delivered to Police Headquarters at least ten working days (two weeks) in advance of the event. 

Step 2:  If approved, a permission letter is created, signed and stamped.

Step 3:  Applicant is notified about the decision within two weeks of the Noise Exemption Permission request. If approved, the letter can be collected from Police Headquarters.
