The Public Library Service of the Virgin Islands in conjunction with the local Reading Council host a Family Reading Project at the Road Town Public Library, every last Saturday of the month from 10:30 am to noon. The programme features three dads who read a favorite children’ book. Each dad reads a book for 30 minutes. The purpose of this programme is to expose children to male role models; to show children that reading is fun; and to help and encourage children to start their own personal libraries. The programme caters for children in the 5-12 age group. Children and parents are invited to attend.
