To determine the qualifying years of service of an officer for the purposes of pension calculations and eligibility for retirement.

Step 1:An officer submits a memorandum to the Department of Human Resources, requesting a calculation of his, or her, years of service.

Step 2: The request is forwarded to the Benefits Unit for review.

Step 3: The officer will be informed in writing from the Director of Human Resources, giving a response regarding his of her years of service
