Anegada Library Outreach Programme to primary school

This service is provided by the Public library for primary students from the Claudia Creque Educational Centre on the island of Anegada. The Library provides transportation for teachers and students to visit the library to borrow books every two weeks. The programme runs for the entire academic year. The objective of this programme is to improve reading and literacy, as well as to encourage students to foster a love for reading.

Process

Step 1: Customer would have to physically visit the Anegada Community libraries.

Step 2: Customer would have to physically browse the library’s holdings and choose the books and/or multimedia materials they require. If the customer wants an item that is unavailable, the customer may request that the library staff reserve it for them.

Step 3: Customer would then go to the circulation desk to check out the library material. Customer must present library cards in order to borrow the library material.

Step 4: Customer would then leave the library with borrowed library material ad return to the schools with the teachers.

Step 5: Customer would return the library materials back to the Circulation Desk in the Anegada Community library on the due date.
