Mr. Wade N. Smith has been appointed as Commissioner of Customs in the Virgin Islands.

Fahie is informing the public that today, Friday, August  7, Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley will be officially sworn in as the new Deputy Premier of the Virgin Islands for the duration of the Government’s term in office. 

The Territory established its first Satellite Emergency Operations Centre(EOC) at the East End/Long Look(EE/LL) Fire Station following a partnership between the Department of Disaster Management(DDM) and the Caribbean Development Bank(CDB).
