Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone has announced Cabinet’s decision to require certified RT-PCR Testing at various intervals and sites for all arriving travelers to the Territory.

The Virgin Islands Youth Parliament (VIYP) now has its full cohort of members following the administering of the Oath of Affirmation to three youth parliamentarians who were absent at the official launch in October.

A second set of twenty-six new British Overseas Territories Citizens (BOTC) received Certificates of Naturalisation at a ceremony held on November 6.

Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie will present the Government’s annual Financial Statement, or Budget Address on Thursday, November 12 under the theme: INNOVATION: Building a stable, diverse, competitive economy with strong industries and partnerships for regional and international trade, by building and harnessing the creative capacity of our human capital.  

The Government will introduce Environmental Management and Climate Resilience Act during the Third Session of the Fourth House of Assembly to provide for the sound and sustainable management of natural resources in the Territory.

The Immigration and Passport Act (CAP.130) will be revised and amended to align with international standards and best practice and to ensure that the legislation is in keeping with the transformation plan for the Department of Immigration.

In a congratulatory letter dated 6^th November, 2020 Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew A. Fahie on behalf of the Government and People of the Virign Islands congratulated newly elected Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Ralph Gonsalves on his re-election and pledged continued collaboration and support as St. Vincent and the Grenadines enters a new chapter of its political life.

The Government of the Virgin Islands and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have pledged greater cooperation on post COVID-19 recovery, climate resilience and the sustainable development goals.
