Ministers, Postmasters General and other high ranking officials from across the world will be converging in the Territory for the18^th Annual Caribbean Postal Union (CPU) Conference. 

The first cohort of participants in the Ministry of Education and Culture’s (MEC) Apprenticeship Programme is moving into its sixth month and additional training for new and old cohorts will be held through a workshop from September 14 to 18.

Over 70 persons from the private sector attended a disaster recovery workshop designed to bring about awareness of the need for businesses to focus on business continuity and recovery planning.

National Health Insurance (NHI) contributions will be shared between beneficiaries, employers and the Government in order to ensure that the entire population has access to healthcare services.

Skelton has stated that the National Health Insurance, through pooled contributions, is not only more cost effective and affordable for the wider population, but will have significant long-term social and economic benefits for the Virgin Islands.

Young persons in the Virgin Islands are encouraged to register for the ninth cohort of the TVET Apprenticeship Programme for Fall 2015 as registration ends Friday, September 4.          

A training workshop will be held in October for individuals who are interested in leading workshops on chronic disease self-management in the community.
