Ms Natasha Ruscheinski, the founder of PAW BVI (Promoting Animal Welfare), is the Territory’s newest recipient of the British Empire Medal (BEM) in The Queen’s New Year 2022 Honours List for her contributions to animal welfare.
His Excellency the Governor, Mr. John Rankin, acting in accordance with the advice of the Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie, has prorogued the House of Assembly effective Friday, December 24 until such a time a new session is appointed.

Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew A. Fahie has welcomed the final adoption of the United Nations (UN) Resolution on the ‘Question of the British Virgin Islands’ passed by the UN General Assembly on 11th December at the conclusion of its 76th session.

The Government of the Virgin Islands received the keys to the Theodolph Faulkner Administration Building on Anegada following an official handover ceremony on December 17.
The Virgin Islands has published the 2019 ecosystem accounts that would provide evidence to support environmental and economic management for the Territory.

Premier and Minister Hon. Andrew A. Fahie and United Nations (UN) Assistant Secretary-General Mr. Luis Felipe Lopez-Calva have agreed to extend the Virgin Islands (VI)-United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation (MOU) until November 2023. The MOU provides for UNDP support to the VI regarding sustainable development, COVID-19 recovery, blue economy and disaster risk reduction.
