The Department of Waste Management (DWM) is seeking quotations from licensed individuals to provide and install fire suppression paraphernalia at the Department of Waste Management Facility located in Long Bush.

The area in reference is located in the ‘Boynes’ building adjacent to the Environmental Health Division

The scope of works include:

1. Provision and Installation of five (5) 10 lbs ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers
2. Provision and Installation of Signs to indicate location of Extinguishers
3. Provide Annual Servicing for Fire Extinguishers
4. Provision and Installation of Smoke Detection System throughout each room
5. Provision and Installation of Illuminated Exit Signs above each Exit doorway

Interested persons are asked to submit bids in a sealed envelope with the name of the company and reference, “Request for Proposals to Retrofit Long Bush Facility for Fire Safety”. The bid must be accompanied with the following documents:

• Quotation for work (Price and Timeframe)
• Certificate of good standing from Inland Revenue Department, Social Security Board and National Health Insurance
• Valid Trade License
• Resume of Similar Works conducted in the past (endorsed)
• Methodology and or Photos of Equipment to be used

Bids will be evaluated on price, time, experience and methodology. All documents must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on August 25, 2024. Please note that interested tenderers can schedule an appointment to inspect the facility before the deadline.

All quotations must be hand delivered to the Department of Waste Management Office located on the second floor of the Property Union Building adjacent to the Happy Lion Restaurant.
