Students in Virgin Gorda participated in a ‘Youth Empowerment Day’ programme organised by the Guidance Counselor at Bregardo Flax Educational Centre, Kia Huggins in collaboration with the Office of Gender Affairs. Pictured is Administrative Officer, Ms. Mickesha Delpleshe as she presented to the junior girls on 'Healthy Relationships'. The students were encouraged to list different types of relationships and demonstrate the characteristics of a healthy relationship. The presentation consisted of the signs, escape routes and different alternatives to unhealthy relationships, dating and domestic violence. Ms. Delpleshe said she was pleased with the high level of participation by the students.
