The Office of Gender Affairs is bringing more awareness to the fight against domestic violence through a video which premiered last Friday at Myetts Chill Zone.  The launch of the Speak out against Domestic Violence Awareness Video brought to a close Purple Day in the British Virgin Islands. The video highlights popular local talents and figures such as Eustace "Boss" Freeman from Showtime Band; Tiejie ‘TJ’ Henley from V.I.B.E; Jevaughn JJ Parson, Soca Monarch; Robert ‘Mr. Swain’ Swain; Brent Hoyte from Homegrown Studios and High Frequency Band; Glendone NJAR Lamothe; Averad Penn, Chief Executive Officer of CCT; Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Ronnie W. Skelton; and Premier Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE advocating against domestic violence.  Domestic Violence Awareness Month is being observed under this year’s theme, Step up, Speak out and Seek Help.
