The public is notified that transportation of the new Wartsila generators will continue from Tuesday, August 30 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

To facilitate this exercise, the James Walter Francis Drive, Waterfront Drive, and Sir Francis Drake Highway between the BVI Ports Authority in Port Purcell and BVIEC Power Station in Pockwood Pond will be closed to vehicular traffic.

The public is asked to use alternate routes, to remove all derelict vehicles from the road ways, and to refrain from parking on the roadways that may prevent transportation delays.Temporary interruptions in electricity, telephone, water and cable television services may be experienced during transportation times.

The trailer will return to the BVI Ports Authority on Tuesday, August 30 and Wednesday, August 31from midnight to 2:00 a.m. Motorists are asked to drive with extreme caution.

The Ministry of Communications and Works apologises for any inconvenience caused during this time.
