Members of the Board of the newly formed Virgin Islands Trade Commission recieved their first orientation session today Monday, May 15.

Pictured is the Deputy Premier and Minister for Financial Services, Labour and Trade Honourable Lorna Smith, OBE as she gave remarks to the members of the Virgin Islands Trade Commission Board as they are oriented to their new assignment. Chairman, Dr. Jerry Smith is also featured as he gave remarks and swears his oath.

The Board was established under the Virgin Islands Trade Commission Act, 2020. This Act delineates the Commission's functions and powers and sets up a structure to promote the growth and development of trade and the economic sector, along with their related fields. Additionally, the Act provides for the establishment of a Trade Commission Tribunal and addresses related matters.
