The Department of Culture is strongly encouraging the public to support this year’s Culture Week, which will be held from November 15 to 20 under the theme: “Remembering the Legends of Virgin Islands Music: Our Treasures,” by dressing in the Territorial attire.

The Department is specifically encouraging all Government employees, private firms, banks and students to participate in this year’s festivities by dressing in the Territorial attire on Friday, November 20.

The purpose of Culture Week, which is held annually, is to highlight the cultural heritage of the Virgin Islands as it seeks to communicate various aspects of Virgin Islands’ culture to present generations and visitors.

Persons can purchase Territorial fabric at Clover’s on Tortola and Classy Threads located in Valley, Virgin Gorda. For more information contact the Department of Culture at 468-4373.
