The Government of the Virgin Islands request tenders for the supply and delivery of Petrol and Diesel for the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force specifically at the Road Town Station and Marine Base on Tortola.

The proposed scope of works is to provide the supply and delivery of petrol and diesel for use by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force in accordance with the term and condition; provide maintenance and replacement of fuel tank(s) and fuel pump(s) as needed to ensure the continuity of fuel usage; and in the event of pump or tank failure, to provide petrol and/or diesel at the agreed rates at designated facilities owned by the Supplier.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said eligible tenderers are required to provide delivery schedule, as well as have experience in the supply and delivery of similar goods over the past three (3) years, along with a proposed method statement for delivery of fuel to the designated areas Road Town Station and Marine Base.

Mrs. Rhymer added that amongst other documentation, tenderers must also have a valid Trade Licence related to the provision of the required goods and submit Certificates of Good Standing in respect of the Social Security and taxes, including Payroll and Income Tax, from VI Social Security Board, National Health Insurance and Inland Revenue.

Bid documents will be available from Wednesday, 28th December, 2022 weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Documents will be sent to bidders electronically upon request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title Supply and Delivery of Petrol and Diesel for the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

A virtual pre-tender meeting via Webex is scheduled for Wednesday, 18th January, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. The access code and password will be provided prior to the meeting. Tenderer must be fully informed regarding all existing and expected conditions and matters which might affect the cost of performance of the contract. All prospective tenderers are invited to attend.

Interested tenderers should submit one (1) original, three (3) copies and one (1) flash drive containing the bidder’s documents.  The original bid should be placed in a sealed envelope and marked “ORIGINAL” and the additional copies placed in another sealed envelope and marked “COPIES”.  Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope and marked Supply and Delivery of Petrol and Diesel for the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force Tortola, British Virgin Islands  and addressed to:

All tenders must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Ministry of Finance (Procurement Unit)RFG Place, Second Floor, Road Town, Tortola, by the bearer not later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 7th February, 2023.  Tenders will not be received after the Tender Box is closed.

Tenders will be opened on Tuesday, 7th February, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ministry of Finance Conference Room, RFG Building, 3rd Floor, Waterfront Drive, Road Town, Tortola.  Tenderers are invited to witness the opening via Webex.  Tenderers will be provided with the access code and password prior to the opening of Tenders.
