The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting tenders for retrofitting repair and maintenance services for the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said that the contractor shall provide repair, maintenance and installation services for the installation of fixtures, furnishing and equipment; plumbing repairs and enhancements; installation of electrical, windows and doors, and roof works.

Mrs. Rhymer added that interested persons must submit Certificates of Good Standing in respect to social security and taxes including payroll taxes and property taxes, trade licence and National Health Insurance.

She said that consideration will be limited to firms or joint ventures of firms which are legally incorporated in eligible countries which are member countries of the Caribbean Development Bank.    

Mrs. Rhymer is advising bidders to furnish a Bid Security in the amount of one percent of the bid price. She said, “Non submission of Bid Security will lead to rejection of bid.” Bidding documents are available electronically upon request at procurement@gov.vg from Monday, December 24. The pre-tender meeting is scheduled for Friday, January 18, 2019.

Interested tenderers should submit one original and two copies and a flash drive containing the bidder’s documents in the original bid.  The original bid should be placed in a sealed envelope and marked “Original” and the additional copies placed in another sealed envelope and marked “Copies”.

Both envelopes should be placed in an outer envelope marked “Contractor Services for Retrofitting, Repair and Maintenance Services for Ebenezer Thomas Primary School – Sea Cow Bay” and addressed to The Chairman, Central Tenders Board, Ministry of Finance, Procurement Unit, Qwomar Trading Building #2, 2nd Floor.

All tenders must be deposited in the Tender Box no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.  Tenders will be publicly opened at the Procurement Unit on Tuesday, February 5 at noon.  Tenderers are invited to attend.
