The Government of the Virgin Islands is seeking the services of a qualified and suitable construction contractor to undertake outfitting of the Premier’s Office, located on the first floor of the Cutlass Building, Road Town, Tortola.

The proposed works consist of the construction of sheetrock walls, installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures, conduits and appurtenances, installation of an air conditioning system to complete the outfitting and make the space fit for purpose.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said eligible tenderers are required to provide a detailed work programme showing the order in which the various sections of works are to be executed, the rate of progress and the estimated periods of time for their execution and completion, along with a list of similar projects completed within the last five (5) years.

Mrs. Rhymer added that tenderers must also have a valid Trade Licence in the specific type of work and submit Certificates of Good Standing in respect of the Social Security and taxes, including Payroll and Income Tax, from VI Social Security Board, National Health Insurance and Inland Revenue.

Bid documents will be available on weekdays from Monday, 15^th August, 2022 between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bidding documents will be sent to bidders electronically upon request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title “Outfitting of Premier’s Office, 1^st Floor Cutlass Building, Road Town, Tortola”.

A virtual pre-tender meeting via Webex is scheduled for Monday, 22^nd August, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. The access code and password will be provided prior to the meeting.   This will be followed by a site visit. All prospective tenderers are invited to attend.

Interested tenderers should submit one (1) original, three (3) copies and one (1) flash drive containing the bidder’s documents.  The original bid should be placed in a sealed envelope and marked “ORIGINAL” and the additional copies placed in another sealed envelope and marked “COPIES”.  Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope and marked “Outfitting of Premier’s Office, 1^st Floor Cutlass Building, Road Town, Tortola” and addressed to:

All tenders must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Ministry of Finance (Procurement Unit), RFG Place, Fleming Street, Road Town, Tortola, Virgin Islands, by the bearer not later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 30^th August, 2022.  Tenders will not be received after the Tender Box is closed.

Tenders will be opened at the Procurement Unit, Ministry of Finance, RFG Place, 2^nd Floor at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 30^th August, 2022. Tenderers are invited to witness this process via Webex and will be provided with the access code and password prior to the opening of the bids.
