The Government of the Virgin Islands invites tenders for the Construction of a Social Home in Sea Cow’s Bay, Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said eligible tenderers are required to submit Certificates of Good Standing in respect of Social Security, National Health Insurance, Inland Revenue, the Commercial Registry and a valid Trade Licence along with detailed work programme showing the order in which the various sections of works are to be executed.
Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said, “The proposed works comprise of the furnishing of all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with the construction of the new Social Home in accordance with the drawings and specifications.”
Mrs. Rhymer added that Tenderers must also present a Tender Bond/Tender Security not less than 1% of the bid price, by way of a bank or accredited insurance company.
Bidding documents are available from Monday, July 6 and would be sent to bidders electronically upon request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title “Construction of the New Social Home, Sea Cow’s Bay, Tortola”.
Interested tenderers should submit (1) original and three (3) copies, plus one (1) flash drive containing the bidder’s documents in sealed envelopes marked, “ORIGINAL” and the additional copies placed in another sealed envelope marked “COPIES”. Both envelopes should then be placed in the Tender Box in an outer envelope marked “Tender for the Construction of the New Social Home in Sea Cow’s Bay, Tortola” and must be received no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11 and addressed to:

A virtual Pre-Tender meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, at 10:00 a.m. and all prospective tenderers will be notified of the access code and password prior to the meeting. This will be followed by a site visit. All prospective tenderers are invited to attend.
Tenders will be opened at the Procurement Unit, Ministry of Finance, Qwomar Trading Building #2, 2nd Floor at 11:00 a.m. on, Tuesday, August 11. All Tenderers are invited to witness this process via “Webex” and will be provided with the access code and password prior to the opening.
