The Department of Waste Management is inviting tenders for the rental of heavy equipment at the Pockwood Pond Dumpsite.

The successful contractor(s) would be required to perform the following works at the Pockwood Pond Dumpsite in Pockwood Pond.

  1. Provide and operate equipment listed in the ‘Schedule of Requirements and Specifications’ table below that must be capable of working a minimum 8 hours every day during the specified period. In case of breakage and interruptions, a replacement equipment has to be sent to the site immediately.

Tenderers are required to furnish the following:

  1. Proof of possession of the equipment and trained personnel. The required equipment and personnel must be in the British Virgin Islands at the time of Tender. Tenders can quote for all equipment or one.
  2. Details regarding experience in the type of works to be carried out.
  3. Certificate of Good Standing in respect of Social Security, National Health Insurance and Income Tax including:
    1. Trade License (valid for 2024) (if Partnership or Sole Proprietorship)
    2. Certificate of Good Standing from the Commercial Registry.
  4. The Tender Price shall be quoted by the Tenderer entirely in United States of America Dollars (US$) using the table in the tender documents. 

            Failure to comply with the Instructions to Tenderers will render the tender non-responsive on the date of opening of tenders.

Respondents are to submit their proposals in envelopes by 4:00 p.m. on 16 August 2024 at the office of the Department of Waste Management located on the second floor of the Union Property building across from the Happy Lion Restaurant.
