The Department of Waste Management is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified companies to maintain the dumpsite on the Island of Anegada for a period of ten (10) months.
The dumpsite receives approximately 50-60 tons of waste per day.
The scope of works are as follows.
- Compaction of the garbage at least four times per month ( i.e. one day every week)
- Covering the garbage with soil or alternative landfill cover at least three time per month.
- Provision of the necessary soil or alternative landfill cover to facilitate the achievement of item 2.
Interested companies are asked to submit their bids in a sealed envelope with the name of the company and reference “Maintaining Anegada Dumpsite” with the following documents enclosed:
- Quotation for work.
- Certificate of good standing from Inland Revenue Department, Social Security Board and National Health Insurance.
- Valid Trade License 2025.
- A detailed resume outlining work experience of projects of a similar nature.
- Dumpsite maintenance methodology for Anegada dumpsite inclusive of the amount of soil or alternative landfill cover.
- Photographs and information on the proposed equipment.
All documents must be included for consideration. The deadline for submission of proposal is February 11, 2024, at 4pm. All quotations must be hand delivered to the Department of Waste Management Office: second Floor, O’Neil Building [located in the Property Union Building adjacent to Happy Lion Restaurant] Botanic Station, Tortola, Virgin Islands.
