Residents of Anegada are invited to submit comments on the recommendation to rename the clinic after retired Nurse Mrs. Romalia Smith.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development undertook the initiative as part of a project to rename public health facilities in honour of community stalwarts who have contributed significantly to the BVI health sector.

The nominee Mrs. Romalia Smith served as the district nurse in Anegada for 26 years. She worked in the clinic and also made house calls. According to her biography, Mrs. Smith is still dedicated to the medical field, and assists nurses stationed on the island.

Interested persons are asked to submit comments by email to ministryofhealth@gov.vg or hand deliver to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Social Development, West Atrium of the Central Administration Complex, Tortola by February 17.
