The Department of Culture has been on a mission to recover and reimagine the museums in the Virgin Islands by conducting several workshops.

Museum Week 2020 heightened the Department’s initiative by informing the public about the importance of museums and bringing awareness to those in the Territory. The department was pleased with the participation and turn out from the community and schools for the various virtual tours, museum hop and museum expo.

The Department will continue to develop virtual museums which is an initiative that will help market the Territory’s museum worldwide and is committed to preserving the culture and heritage of the Virgin Islands through the Territory’s museums.
