The Department of Waste Management is seeking quotations for the removal, transportation and clean-up of derelict vehicles, scrap metal and other waste at Pockwood Pond Derelict Site.
Scope of Works
The successful contractor(s) would be required to perform the following works at the Pockwood Pond Dumpsite in Pockwood Pond.
- Provide and operate equipment which can remove, transport and clean-up all derelict vehicles, scrap metal and other waste the Pockwood Pond Derelict site within 7 days.
Instructions to Tenderers
Tenderers are required to furnish the following:
- Proof of possession of the listed equipment and trained personnel. The required equipment and personnel must be in the British Virgin Islands at the time of Tender.
- Details regarding experience in the type of works to be carried out.
- Work methodology and project plan that details the schedule of work activities that will be executed to achieve the deadline of 7 days clean up the site.
- Certificate of Good Standing in respect of Social Security, National Health Insurance and Income Tax including:
- Trade License (valid for 2024) (if Partnership or Sole Proprietorship)
- Certificate of Good Standing from the Commercial Registry.
Evaluation Criteria
The competitive bidding process will be utilized to ensure that the procurement process is transparent and that tenders are evaluated fairly to ascertain that the recommended evaluated bid is most technically and economically sound.
The Tenderers’ response to the Employer’s requirements will be evaluated under the following criteria with relative weights:
- Appropriateness of the Equipment Listed - 20 points
- Experience of the company on past projects (processing, handling and transportation of derelict vehicles, scrap metal and other waste) with similar scope and magnitude of this assignment - 20 points
- Value for Money - Financial Proposal - 60 points
Respondents are to submit their quotations, pictures of the equipment listed, and work methodology in seal envelopes due by 4:00 p.m. on November 22, 2024 at the office of the Department of Waste Management located on the second floor of the Union Property across from the Happy Lion Restaurant.
Failure to comply with the Instructions to Tenderers will render the tender non-responsive on the date of opening of tenders.
