Public Officers selected as Gender Focal Points are featured at the recently held Office of Gender Affairs’ awareness workshop. The workshop was held under the theme: Building Gender Awareness/Sensitivity in the Public Sector: A Workshop. The main objectives of the session were to introduce participants to basic concepts in gender and gender related terms, increase participants’ knowledge and sharpen their skills on gender awareness and sensitivity and also to create a core group of Gender Focal Points who can advocate for gender equality in their respective ministry, departments or units.
