The Ministry of the Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change invites the public to participate in seagrape tree plantings at Long Bay, Beef Island on Saturday 15^th March, Sunday 23^rd March and Saturday 29^th March, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Interested persons should gather at the center of the beach at the roundabout area at 7:45 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring water and wear long sleeves, closed-up shoes and gloves. 

The replanted seagrape trees are all being named in honour of beloved Virgin Islanders who have passed on from the Seventh and Eighth Districts who have made significant contributions to the community fabric or community development. Nominations can be made by completing an online nomination form available at bvi.gov.vg/environment or calling the Ministry at 468-2147.
