The Government of the Virgin Islands, through Trade and Consumer Affairs Department is inviting the public, especially owners of small and medium sized businesses to a business presentation on Tuesday, March 31, at the H Lavity Stoutt Community College Marine Center at 10:00 a.m.
The presentation will be made by visiting members of the Programme Management Unit of the SME Programme funded under the 10th European Development Fund themed, “Strengthening the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Overseas Countries and Territories in the Caribbean Region”.
The main purpose of the presentation is to introduce the Programme and explain how it can benefit Government, business support organisations, as well as small and medium sized enterprises). One of the direct benefits to SMSEs is a Direct Assistance Grant Scheme soon to be launched. Information on the Grant Scheme will also be presented.
The presentation will conclude with a question and answer session to provide additional information on both the SME Programme and the Direct Assistance Grant Scheme.
The Trade and Consumer Affairs Department and the Premier’s Office are the lead agencies for the development of small businesses in the Territory and fully support all initiatives for the growth and sustainability of small businesses.
