The Preliminary Voters’ List for 2023 is available for inspection.

Supervisor of Elections Ms. Scherrie Griffin said in accordance with Section 18 (5)(a) of the Elections Act, 1994 and Amendments, the list is available for inspection for a period of four days ending on March 21.

Ms. Griffin explained that every preliminary list shall be open for inspection by the public, at no cost, during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.

The list will be available in each local electoral district to which the list applies and at the Elections Office, the General Post Office and all the branch post offices and sub-post offices throughout the Territory. Lists are also available online at bvi.gov.vg/elections under the ‘Preliminary Voters List’ section, and links will be shared via social media.

Every person who claims that his/her name, address or occupation has been wrongfully stated or omitted from the preliminary list are required to give notice to the Supervisor in Form No. 3 (Notice of Claim) within four days after the publication of the list.

Additionally, persons whose name appears in any Preliminary Voters’ List may also object to any other person whose name also appears as not being entitled to have his/her name listed. In this case, individuals shall give notice to the Supervisor of Elections in Form No. 4 (Notice of Objection) within four days after the publication of the list.

All claims or objections must be filed at the Elections Office no later than March 21.Forms are available at the Elections Office located in the Creque Building at #216 Upper Main Street, and online at bvi.gov.vg/departments/office-supervisor-elections under services.
