The public is notified that the Pockwood Pond dumpsite is now open following a fire that occurred on Saturday December 9.

 The public is further advised that the dumpsite will be open to the public Monday-Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily until further notice. Persons who are able to, are asked to transport their waste at the top of the hill at the dumpsite to reduce the garbage in the tipping area and minimise future occurrences of garbage related fires.

The Department of Waste Management thanks the public for its cooperation on the matter.
