Residents of the Virgin Islands are invited to wear purple on Thursday, October 31 as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month activities.

Purple is the international colour of domestic violence awareness and the Office of Gender Affairs aims to create a national demonstration of unity against domestic violence and show support to survivors in observance of the occasion.

The month is being observed under the theme, “Domestic Violence Awareness+ Action = Life Change". For more information on the schedule of activities, please contact the Office of Gender Affairs at 852- 7783 or visit www.bvi.gov.vg.
