Over 400 derelict vehicles were transported off Virgin Gorda last weekend as the Department of Waste Management continues its derelict collection programme.

The rigorous collection process which began on Sunday, July 26 and ended on Monday, July 27 saw the collection of derelicts which were then transported on a barge to Tortola for further processing and export out of the Territory.

Assistant Manager for the Department of Waste Management, Mr. Anselm Meyers stated that the collection process went well and explained that the small amount that was left behind will be collected and transported off the island at a later date.
