The Government of the Virgin Islands (GOVI) acting through the Ministry of Finance (MOF) is accepting sealed bids for the sale of the following derelict vehicles and boats on "AS IS” basis. (See Appendix 1)
1. Persons interested in purchasing of any of these vehicles or boats may inspect them on any working day between 8:30AM to 4:00PM at the various locations.
2. The quotation/s should be addressed and delivered to the: -

Waterfront Drive, Road Town
Tortola, British Virgin Islands
in a sealed envelope no later than 10:00 am on Tuesday, 6th February, 2024. The bid should include the registration number, make/model, serial no. department the vehicle and boats belongs to, and the year of the said vehicle in Bold Capital letters “Quotation for Derelict Vehicle” or “Derelict Boats”. The condition of the vehicles and boats can be inspected physically. Bids must be signed and the full name, address and a valid telephone number must be provided. The person/s who has offered the highest bid will be awarded the vehicle or boat. If the highest bidder fails to honor the bid; their bid will be cancelled & forfeited. In such an event, an opportunity shall be given to the next highest bidder. Late bids are not permitted.
3. After an award letter has been received the money should be paid to The Accountant General within seven (7) working days. The award letter should be presented when payment is being made
4. The release of the sold vehicle or boat will be arranged only after the successful bidder submits an award letter and a receipt from the Accountant General as evidence of payment.
5 The sold vehicle or boat must be removed by the successful bidder(s) within 48 hours of sale at their own expenses. No assistance/transportation will be provided by The government of the Virgin Islands. Government is not responsible for vehicles or boats not removed after that time.
6. Unsuccessful bidders shall be notified.
