The new Peebles Hospital received a $3,500 donation by the Rotaract Club of Tortola, in collaboration with the local band V.I.B.E. today.

During the presentation, Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Ronnie W. Skelton said, “We cannot be more grateful to all the people who have given, so that we can continue to provide you the services, so that when you come here ;you will get the quality service you need.”

Assistant District Rotaract Representative, Ms. Aisha Liburd said, “We try to help the community in any way that we can and we had this idea since the last Rotary year. We contacted V.I.B.E. and told them we wanted to partner with them to make this donation as a joint effort towards the hospital.”

Continued donations towards the New Peebles Hospital Pledge Programme are welcomed and persons can do so by contacting the Ministry of Health and Social Development at 468-2282 and the BVI Health Services Authority at 852-7511.

The Rotaract Club of Tortola is group of adults ages 18-30 years old who take action in their communities, whilst developing their leadership and professional skills. Rotaract meets twice a month to exchange ideas, plan activities and projects, and socialize. 

The Ministry of Health and Social Development provides leadership that promotes health, social well-being and a safe environment as positive resources for healthy living.
