Former Chief Conservation and Fisheries Officer, the late Mr. Bertrand B Lettsome also known as Washasha X is being honoured by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for World Food Day 2021.

In recognition of his contribution as a farmer and fisher, the department is sharing Mr. Lettsome’s wisdom through a video that was part of the ‘Garden to Plate’ series for the 2020 Backyard Garden competition. Mr. Lettsome shared his knowledge of the history of farming in the Virgin Islands as well as tips to new farmers.
