The first Light it up Blue March and Fun Day was held on April 1 to commence activities in observance of Child Abuse Prevention and Autism Awareness Month. Representatives from service organisations, schools and government agencies assembled and marched from the Althea Scatliffe Primary School grounds towards the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park to advocate this year’s theme, ‘Different not Less’. After the march, attendees enjoyed numerous activities such as lucky dip, face painting, puppet shows, music and more. For more information on the Autism Centre, persons are asked to contact the Social Development Department at 468-3650 or 468-3672. (Photo Credit: Franklyn Skerrit/GIS)
