BVIslanders/Belongers currently seeking employment in the Territory are encouraged to register with the Labour Department.

Labour Commissioner Ms. Janice Rymer said, “Registering with the Labour Department not only benefits the job seekers by providing access to job opportunities in the Territory as we continue with the rebuilding and recovery process, but is also beneficial to the Department in diversifying its current Registry Pool and being able to connect the employer with the employee.”

The department also provides coaching with résumé writing, interviewing techniques, job decorum and performance.

Job seekers are invited to visit the department on Tortola in the Ashley Ritter Building and on Virgin Gorda in the Vanterpool Building to complete the registration form, and to meet with a team member of the Employment Services Unit who will provide valuable guidance and support through the employment process.

The Labour Department remains committed to ensuring that the needs of the workforce are met, and that BVIslanders/Belongers are given first preference to all jobs available in the Territory.

For further information, or to request the registration form, please contact the office at (284) 468-4707 (Tortola) or 468-9178 (Virgin Gorda) or at email address labour@gov.vg
