His Excellency the Governor Augustus Jaspert has said that he is impressed with the continued spirit and hard work of the community following the passage of hurricanes Irma and Maria.

The Governor was at the time making his third official visit to Jost Van Dyke on November 8, to follow up with residents and assess the recovery progress.

Governor Jaspert visited White Bay, Jost Van Dyke School, the Government Administration Building, Foxy’s, Jost Van Dyke Clinic and toured Little Harbour.

Residents and business owners shared their concerns, frustrations and challenges with the Governor who gave the assurance that he is working with Cabinet to speed up the recovery efforts on the island. He also urged residents to continue working together as the Territory rebuilds.

The Governor was accompanied by the Sister Islands Programme Coordinator Mr. Vincent Wheatley.
