In the BVI as indeed across the world people have been watching the choice that the people of Britain made yesterday. The British Prime Minister has made a statement which can be found in full on the Governor’s Office FaceBook page.

The British Prime Minister has made clear that there will be no immediate changes in people’s circumstances. There will be no initial change in the way people can travel, in the way goods can move or the way services can be sold.

The United Kingdom Government is now preparing for a negotiation with the European Union. This is a process that will itself take some time and will not begin until the United Kingdom has a new Prime Minister.

The Governor’s Office will provide further information as and when it becomes available.
