This week Governor, Gus Jaspert and the Premier, Dr.The Honourable D. Orlando Smith are in London to discuss the next stage of recovery and UK support to date.

They will attend the annual Joint Ministerial Council on Tuesday which continues through to Wednesday where hurricane relief and recovery will be top of the agenda. The meeting will be attended by leaders of all 11 British Overseas Territories.

Governor Gus Jaspert said:

“The Joint Ministerial Council comes at an important time for the Virgin Islands. I am confident that we will have productive meetings with UK Ministers and that the Premier and I will be able to return with positive outcomes. There is still much to do and I am pleased that the challenges of recovery remain at the forefront of people’s minds around the world”
