The Government of the Virgin Islands through the Premier’s Office, is seeking to procure of a Communications Specialist for the assignment in relation to supplementing the public relations strategies provided by the Government Information Services.

The proposed scope of works includes the capacity of enhancing the profile of the Premier and enhancing the presence of the Office of the Premier regionally and locally; plan, script, and produce the Government talk show Table Talk to effectively communicate Government’s policies, initiatives and key messages to the public; contribute to the development of press releases, social media campaigns, public relations efforts and other communication initiatives to enhance the Government's public image; as well as craft content that portrays the Premier in a positive light and supports his communication goals.

Interested and capable persons are invited to submit Expressions of Interest indicating qualification and experience to provide the consultancy services that require, but are not limited to, communications experience and acumen within the sector with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in media management, sound communications skills, sound public relations skills, highly developed skills in journalism/creative writing, as well as basic understanding laws and regulations and the ability to exercise discretion and good judgment.
 

Eligible individual consultants must reside locally and be open to work on a full-time basis for a period of one year.

Electronic copies of the Expression of Interest must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, 28 January, 2024. The submission must be a non-editable format and not exceeding 10 MB. The body of the email submission should include the name and address of the applicant and the subject of the email shall be “Expression of Interest - Consultancy Services for CommunicationsSpecialist”.
