Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) throughout the Territory will be versed on the economic potential of international trade in a two-day entrepreneurial e-commerce workshop next week.
The workshop will be held on May 28 and 29 at the Moorings Marina Conference Room from 1:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. and will be hosted by the Department of Trade, Investment Promotions and Consumer Affairs in collaboration with the Caribbean Overseas Small Medium Enterprises (COSME) programme; ADECK, the Association of Small and Medium size business in Curaçao and DHL Express.
Director for the Department of Trade, Investment Promotions and Consumer Affairs, Mrs. Karia Christopher said following hurricanes Irma and Maria the department recognised that a number of business locations were damaged.
Mrs. Christopher said, “We have recognised that a number of businesses have suffered the loss of a storefront. As such, we are pleased to work alongside COSME and DHL Express to assist product-based businesses to assist them in being able to sell their products online.”
The workshop will cover topics including: Establishing your business online, setting-up and managing your online web-shop, uploading your products for online retail, understanding international e-payment systems, addressing cross-border delivery, learning how to drop-ship products, and provisioning of after sales services.
