Food handlers and other persons in Virgin Gorda who will be participating in the Easter Festival are notified that Food Handlers’ Clinics will be held in preparation for this event.

Officials from the Environmental Health Division will conduct education sessions on the sister island on March 9, 16, 23 and 30 in Conference Room B of the Flax Building.

The session on March 9 will be for renewals only, while the March 16 and 23 sessions will be for persons participating in the festival. The session on March 30 will be for new food handlers only.

Persons renewing their food handler’s certificates are required to bring their expired certificates, social security card, work permit and/or picture identification.

Persons seeking to obtain a food handlers’ certificate for the first time are also required to bring the result of their Mantoux (skin) and stool tests, work permit and/or picture identification, social security card and one recent passport size photograph.

Food handlers are further reminded that only persons possessing all of the necessary documents will be allowed to participate in the session.
