The Virgin Island Fire and Rescue Services department is informing the public that Fire Safety Awareness Week will be observed from Monday, October 4 to Saturday October 10. This year’s theme is, “Fire and Smoke Kill; Stop Them Before They Start!”

The public is invited to visit the Fire Station Headquarters at 6:30 p.m. during the week and enjoy fun and games. The schedule of events is as follows:

• Tuesday -  Board Games and Volleyball
• Wednesday - Fire Service Trivia Quiz
• Thursday - Board Games and Volleyball
• Friday - Fire Officer Endurance Drill/Challenge
• Saturday - Board Games and Volleyball

Interested persons can also visit the various fire stations during the day for their open house sessions.
