The Government of the Virgin Islands acting through the Attorney General’s Chambers, desires to create a panel of legal practitioners and consultants to provide drafting, civil and specialist legal services to the Government of the Virgin Islands.

The primary objective of this undertaking is to create a Legal Services Panel consisting of individual legal practitioners and legal consultants who can efficiently and effectively provide legal services to the Government on a wide variety of matters and areas of law including, but not limited to, the following:

• Constitutional & Administrative Law
• Contract and Commercial
• Employment
• Intellectual property
• International business
• Legislative drafting
• Litigation/Arbitration/Mediation
• Maritime
• Environmental Law
• Technology (including contracts, data, information and cybersecurity)
• Tort
• Overseas Territories Law
• Public International Law.

Successful candidates will have expertise in their subject area of interest in a common law jurisdiction. Candidates must either be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, Attorney-at-Law or Legal Practitioner in a common law jurisdiction or hold an advanced degree in law from a reputable institution of higher learning; be able to demonstrate an advanced level of the English language; can assimilate complex facts quickly; and be able to exercise sound judgment.

Electronic copies of the Expression of Interest must be received no later than Noon Monday, 27 March 2023. The submission must be a non-editable format and not exceeding 10 MB.  The body of the email submission should include the name and address of the applicant and the subject of the email shall be, “EOI for Legal Services Panel for the Government of the Virgin Islands”.
