A cornerstone plaque on the Terminal Building of the Tortola Pier Park was unveiled last evening, signaling the official opening of the park.

Pictured is Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE and Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Mark Vanterpool as they unveiled the plaque which reads:

“TORTOLA PIER PARK OFFICIALLY OPENED 16th FEBRUARY, 2016
This significant milestone is dedicated to the people of the Virgin Islands for their tremendous commitment to sustainable tourism development.

The management and staff of Tortola Pier Park will erect another plaque naming all individuals and parties involved in the historic milestone.
